Details rendered in pale, sagey greens and off-white contrast dramatically with a dark blue background in silk velvet.
Our Woodgrain cushion is inspired by some beautiful oak floorboards at our founders Tim and Lizzie’s home. These boards have had their grain blasted, then filled with gold, before being stained and varnished.
What could easily have been a very gauche result was in the end so beautiful it became the inspiration first for an opulent fabric made with Italian velvet and silk, and now this cushion, where the design is depicted using a silk velvet with cotton over-embroidery.

Our cushions are backed with the finest Hainsworth wool cloth. The same cloth chosen for prestigious British uniforms, such as the striking scarlet of the Royal Guards and the ceremonial uniforms worn by the Royal Family during state occasions.
They are then finished with trimmings from Samuel & Sons, a coveted source for the finest quality borders, braids, fringes, tassels and more.
