The inspiration for this sumptuous wall hanging comes from a very specific time and place: the influence that Japanese art had on European ceramicists during the first world war.
These potters and their unique representations of nature – Eastern in style but very much through a European lens – have long been a source of fascination to us. And we were delighted to explore this theme using an entirely different medium: needlepoint.
Rendered in a dazzling combination of pure wool and lurex, with crisp black, white and gold detailing over a richly textured background, this opulent wall hanging will bring a sense of drama to any room.

This wallhanging is backed with the finest Hainsworth wool cloth. The same cloth chosen for prestigious British uniforms, such as the striking Scarlet of the Royal Guards and the ceremonial uniforms worn by the Royal Family during state occasions.
