A high-contrast colourway comprising machine hand-stitched details in cream cotton over a base of green slub silk velvet.
The artisans at our Calcutta studio are real masters of embroidery and a complete joy to work with. Sometimes they will suggest an idea that is so creative and beautiful we have no choice but to make it a reality. Our Crocodile cushion is one such idea.
The piece showcases their talent for machine hand-stitching, a notoriously difficult method which involves carefully manoeuvring the fabric by hand to create the design. The effect is a stitch that, despite being extremely uniform, produces delightfully organic shapes.
Rendered in cotton on silk velvet, our Crocodile cushion is both elegant and exotic.

Our cushions are backed with the finest Hainsworth wool cloth. The same cloth chosen for prestigious British uniforms, such as the striking scarlet of the Royal Guards and the ceremonial uniforms worn by the Royal Family during state occasions.
